On Friday September 16th 2005 Triple D Productions held a fund raising dance at Hunter's Creek Middle School in Orlando. The purpose of the event was to raise money to assist the officers of the Waveland Ms. Police Department recover from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. The HCMS Honor Society co-sponsored the event and took care of the advertising and ticket sales. The initial goal of the event was to raise $1,600.00; enough to sponsor 4 Waveland officers through the Orange County Sheriff's Office "Adopt a COP" program.
We are happy to report that the dance was a complete success and we raised $2,400.00 during the two hour event. That is enough to "adopt" 6 officers from Waveland Police Department.
We would like to thank the following individules and business for there generous donations of food and other items which helped to make our efforts a success:
Paul Calafayan & Kevin Cleary - A Slice of New York Pizzaria Max the manager - Publix Hunter's Creek Target Hunter's Creek Peter - Froggers Bar & Grill Hunter's Creek
A second fund raiser to assist the officers of Waveland Police Department and their families was held on September 28th, 2005 at Conway Middle School in Orlando. We are extremely happy to report that this dance was even more successful than the first. A total of $2,600.00 was raised during the second dance, and a great time was had by all. A total of $5,000.00 was donated to the Orange County Sheriff's Office "Adopt a COP" program from both dances.
We are proud to have been a part of such great fund raising effort with our community partners and the Orange County Sheriff's Office. |
